How do I get an ad in The ELY SHOPPER?

Is it too late to get an ad in?

If it is after 5 PM on Monday then yes. Although, from time to time we do make exceptions on Tuesdays, depending on how much room we have, however, there are no guarantees that we will be able to get an ad in if it is given to us too late on a Tuesday. If you know you would like to run something but cannot stop in till Tuesday, give us a call and let us know; we can save a spot for you.

I'm not getting a Shopper. What can I do?
If you have gotten one in the past, and have only not received one recently, then call us at 365-3185. We will notify your carrier to make sure you receive one the next. If you live out of town and have never gotten one, call us, we can arrange to put up a newspaper tube near your mailbox.
I don't live in the Ely area and would like to receive a Shopper, is it possible?
We mail Shoppers to people living outside our area. The cost is $1 per week to cover the cost of postage. If you would like to subscribe to have a copy mailed to you email us or give us a call.
How much does it cost to put an ad in the paper?
It depends on what type of ad you want to run. A typical classified "for sale" ad is $3, for other prices please see our rates page.
What is the best format for E-Mailing Ads?
We make The Ely Shopper on Macintosh computers. The preferred format for an ad is a PDF. An image or picture can be any graphic format (such as. PDF, TIF, GIF, JPEG, BMP). Sending us ads and images in the proper format helps us to create the best quality product for you! Please do not hesitate to call us with any questions you might have - we're here for you!
How do you calculate ad sizes and pricing?

Our column inches are calculated by multiplying the column width by the depth in inches. This is then multiplied by the appropriate column inch rate. For example a "business card" size ad or a 2x2 is calculated as follows:

2 columns wide x 2 inches deep = 4 column inches
4 column inches x $7.50 per column inch = $30.00

We bill to the nearest quarter inch deep, so if you are sending a pre-made ad please size it accordingly.
